USAGE OF OUR WEBSITE WITHOUT SIGNING UP FOR SERVICES

SIGNING UP FOR SERVICES AND MAKING A PURCHASE ON THE WEBSITE

We process your personal data when providing or improving our services to you when you e.g., sign up for our services, accept cookies, contact us, or makes a purchase.

LAC NOIR processes the following information when you make a purchase on the website:

When you make a purchase at our website, we share your personal data with the following third parties:

  • Logistics companies such as DHL and GLS in order to deliver your order
  • Trustpilot, in order for Trustpilot to contact you by e-mail regarding your buying experience
  • Social media companies or similar third parties that we cooperate with for the purpose of marketing and advertising

LAC NOIR processes the following information when you sign up for our newsletter or contact us

Legal basis: 

After obtaining your consent on receiving newsletters, we process your personal data because of our legitimate interest in sending the newsletter (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR)

  • If you contact us, we process your personal data because of our legitimate interest in replying to your inquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR)

We share your personal data with third parties, e.g. social media companies or similar third parties that we cooperate with for the purpose of marketing. Further, we might engage suppliers such as hosting companies and providers of newsletter services (data processors). 

Data processors and transfer of personal data to third countries

Your personal data can be shared with vendors, suppliers or other third parties, processing data on behalf of LAC NOIR (data processors). When engaging such data processors LAC NOIR sign data processing agreements obliging data processors to confidentiality and only to process personal data as instructed by LAC NOIR for the purposes described in this privacy policy. We only use data processors providing sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures in such a manner that processing will meet the requirements of the relevant data protection laws. 

LAC NOIR will only transfer data to countries outside the EEA, when appropriate safeguards set out in the GDPR are in place, e.g., by the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. 

In order to provide a better buying experience, we use Shopify that mainly process personal data within the EEA. However, Shopify might transfer personal data to Canada which is approved by the EU Commission as a country providing an adequate level of data protection, since Shopify is subject to the Canadian data protection legislation (PIPED ACT).

Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

Retention periods 

We delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary to retain for the specified purposes in this privacy policy.

We do store some types of information for longer if we are obliged by law to do so, e.g., to comply with bookkeeping obligations (5 years).

You have the right to ask us to confirm if we are processing your personal data and to ask for access to your personal data. In case we process data about you that is incorrect, you have the right to ask us to correct your information. You also have the right to ask us to delete your information or restrict how we process your information and to object to our processing of your information. Further, you have the right to data portability.

If we process your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

GDPR

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased.
